Clarke County Sheriff Department, The Sheriff’s law enforcement duties include keeping peace within the county. The Clarke County Sheriff’s Department serves all subpoenas for both District and Probate courts, arrest warrants, small claims, divorce decrees, and evictions. The Sheriff is elected at-large and serves a four-year term. Duty: To meet the demands and expectations of the public, to lead by example and hold ourselves to a higher ethical standard. The Clarke County Sheriff’s Office provides fair, unbiased law enforcement services to the public while respecting the constitutional rights of individuals.
