Hi, when I arrived at Waukeen's Rest I got a dialogue that someone in the burning tavern is screaming and needs help. I didn’t come and then move to another location/long rest. I reloaded a save and did the same but without Wyll, left him in the camp. There’s my 4th playthrough and I know the sequence. I talked to him repeatedly and got the same cutscene but no EXP Only got to waukeens rest after I’m already in act 2, when I get here Benryn is already dead, assume there’s no way to do this quest now. Other than access to an uber item (Spellsparkler), what are the consequences? I got the game a couple of days ago and Benryn has always been dead the first time I show up at Waukeen's rest. It might be because you took a long rest after you first arrived. I am tearing my hair out. The noble woman leaves just fine, but I cannot get the other guy with the dead wife (Benryn) to leave her.
